HISTORY OF PLANT
 Nikopol
Steel Pipe Plant "YutiSt" was founded in 2000 on the
basis of Nikopol Yuzhnotrubny Works, which used to be one of
the largest steel pipes manufacturers in the world. Due to inflation
and economic crisis in 1990s, the Works was restructured into
several independent enterprises, each having its own investor.
CJSCo YutiSt, established in summer of the year 2000 on the
basis of the tube-drawing mill, had become one of such independent
enterprises.
The main problem faced by management of YutiSt
was social tension inherited from the non-beneficial Yuzhnotrubny
Works. In the first place, all arrears of wages were paid up.
Thereafter, to create adequate working conditions and safe environment,
new operating assets were found. All this helped to renew the
production process and encouraged the staff of the enterprise.
In January 2001 the salaries were doubled.
Since that time they have been constantly increasing and regularly
paid. The management of YutiSt has elaborated a system of bonuses
for excellent work of its staff and growth of production capacity,
as a result of which fluctuation movement of personnel at the
enterprise reached the minimum level, and it was considered
prestigious to work at YutiSt.
The primary activity of the management of
YutiSt was directed to successful team building, as it is qualified
specialists that ensure stability of work and high quality of
production. The top managers of the enterprise did not spare
efforts to draw highly-experienced workers over production and
managing process.
The main scope of the new enterprise concentrated
on drawn tubes for boilers of high pressure, drawn and thin-walled
carbon and alloyed steel seamless tubes. To improve pipes quality
and extend production range, YutiSt purchased one more mill
- Mill for Hot-rolled Pipes Production. Soon, thanks to funds
of investors and dedicated work of the staff a boiler house
was built. Hereupon, Belgian compressors for dry compressed
air, automatic molding machine, marking and packing devices
were purchased and installed.
Due to all innovations implemented by the
management of the plant, the assortment of manufactured goods
has notably extended, namely tubes of 168 mm in diameter and
thin-walled rolled tubes, which acquired a great demand abroad,
were put in production. Moreover, the plant mastered production
of drawn cracked pipes and very promising drawn pipes in grade
06X1 for oil industry where their application grants a considerable
economic effect for consumers.
Ultimately, after four years of hard work
YutiSt managed to increase production capacity and volumes of
sales in four times, which was a great success for the new enterprise.
Investments and high quality of production
have always been a priority for the management of the enterprise.
During the years of CJSCo Nikopol Steel Pipe Plant "YutiSt"
existence, its policy was directed to permanent perfection of
quality management program. In particularly, YutiSt was the
first among steel pipes manufactures in Ukraine to create and
certify its Quality Control System in accordance with ISO 9001:2000,
the certificate granted by well-known European certifying organization
TUV NORD CERT. In addition to this, the production of YutiSt
was also approved by Ukrainian and Russian auditors.
High quality of production allowed YutiSt
to acquire permanent customers both in Ukraine and abroad. The
enterprise tries to establish stable and mutually beneficial
business relations with its customers, paying utmost attention
to each of them. For a considerably short period of its work,
CJSCo Nikopol Steel Pipe YutiSt has significantly expanded its
delivery program. At the present moment the enterprise supplies
its production to 29 countries of the world.
