In December
2005 a hydraulic testing battery was purchased by "YUTiST"
with the aim of testing pipes for their maintenance by
internal pressure (metal strength and density control).
During the test, liquid (water, emulsion etc.) is pumped
in a pipe up to the pressure level specified by the standard
(25 MPa/250 ATE) and is maintained for several seconds.
The pipe is considered to pass the test if in the process
of testing no leak of hydraulic liquid is visually revealed
and if after the test is performed no permanent deformation
(bulging) of the wall taking the diameter out of limit
deviations is detected.
Utilization of the hydraulic testing
battery allows "YUTiST" to ensure its customers
that pipes supplied shall not break during their operational
use under high-pressure conditions.
It is planned to put the battery into operation by the
end of January 2006.
